Sweden is a Scandinavian country in Northern Europe.
History
During World War II, Sweden remained neutral, however the government was cooperating in secret with Nazi Germany during the war, and allowed the Nazi regime to remove political dissidents.[1]
On March 14th, 1946, a peace treaty was signed between King Gustav V and Adolf Hitler after a month of Arctic warfare in the Swedish north. Following the surrender, the Swedish Parliament was dissolved and the Swedish monarchy pledged loyalty to Germany. With new trading agreements, Swedish iron ore was shipped exclusively to Germany, providing a huge boost for the stagnating Swedish economy.[2]
