The Master State is the organization in Germany, that was attempting to take over the world in Wolfenstein 3D for the SNES version of the game. The organization is lead by the Staatmeister. They are at war with the Republic.

Behind the Scenes

• They replace the Nazis, but most of the enemies are the same (other than Mutant Rats and "Elite Guard" in place of the name "SS"), and even Franklin D. Roosevelt can be seen during the cutscenes.
• The port's storyline (with some text altered) is virtually the same as the Jaguar port and has the same missions as the Original/2nd Encounter (Mac/3DO main first campaign).
