Under Attack is the fifteenth and penultimate chapter of Wolfenstein: The New Order. It is preceded by Chapter 14 - Return to London Nautica and succeeded by Chapter 16 - Return to Deathshead's Compound.

Storyline

While blacked out, B.J. has memories of being held down in Deathshead's Compound, and being taunted by Deathshead, who compares their names. Wilhelm, and William. He admonishes the nickname of "Deathshead," saying that it sounds wrong in English. He politely requests William to say his name correctly: "Totenkopf."

As he wakes up, Klaus Kreutz drifts in in a car, picking him up and driving off to Berlin from London. As they ride, he receives a transmission from Kreisau: Deathshead's men have found them. Irene Engel, patched up from her injuries at Camp Belica, leads the assault. Wyatt/Fergus and Caroline hide in the hangar, J hides in blocked-off room, and Bombate, Anya, and Set hide in a room obscured by a pin-up poster. They are the first to be found.

Now in Berlin, Klaus drives off a bridge to land on some Nazis waiting outside the Monuments of Truth. One gets crushed by the falling car, but the rest take the offensive, immediately and remorselessly riddling Klaus with bullets. As B.J. has a gun pressed to his head, he laments how he would have shown Anya "Mesquite at dawn." However, just in time, Max Hass shows up. He grabs the Nazi's head, and smashes it against the car hood. Sponging the bullets shot at him, he successfully deals with the other two Nazis. Max retrieves Klaus' body in anguish by tearing the car door from its hinges, and more Nazis begin to attack, alongside two drones. Once he realises that Klaus isn't waking up, he picks up the body and opens a tunnel for B.J. to enter through.

The tunnel leads into a burning vent room, in which B.J. receives a radio transmission from Wyatt/Fergus that Engel's men have taken Bombate, Anya, and Set, and are transporting them to Deathshead's Compound. He lets him know that there is one last helicopter in the hangar, and that if he moves quickly, he can take action. From here, B.J. must climb a series of ladders to make it to the Kreisau Circle headquarters, which is being actively burnt down. The door has been broken down, and a dead Camp Belica refugee can be found underneath.

In the main room are two Soldiers and one Commander, who are attempting to break down J's door. As B.J. attempts to enter the hangar, a Panzerhund intervenes, creating a blockade of rubble, and forcing B.J.'s hand to find another entrance. Upstairs are one Soldier, and two Fire Trooper. The letter collectible can be found in Max's room, on the floor. Going to the very top of the headquarters, and dealing with one more Nazi and Fire Trooper, B.J. must use the LaserKraftWerk to open the vent between the tools room, and what was his mattress. In here, he finds J.

J tells B.J. that he's glad he's glad to see him, and declines his offer to come along to find Wyatt/Fergus. He talks about how he's been on the run his whole life, and that silence was his only constant. But this moment, will be loud. He shuts the vent on William, plugging in his guitar, and beginning to play the Star Spangled Banner at its maximum volume. The sound can be heard from across Berlin. The Nazis finally break down the door, and misidentify the electric guitar as a weapon, opening fire upon J and killing him. B.J. moves along, but not without killing the Nazis who just murdered J from the vent.

B.J. enters the sewers, met with immediate threat: two Supersoldaten, a Fire Trooper, and several Soldiers. A ladder to the right of the left-most Supersoldaten will lead into the next room, so with enough speed, he can make it through without firing a single bullet. He crawls through the vents, but the vents prove unstable, as they break underneath him, and situate him to the feet of two Wachroboter. However, Caroline intervenes, now dressed in the Da'at Yichud Power Suit, and is capable of nimbly ripping apart the robots with just her body. She welcomes him back to Berlin, and instructs him to protect Wyatt/Fergus and take out the Panzerhund. After managing so, Caroline picks up the two, and they send off for Eva's Hammer.
