Spear of Destiny credits

Barnacle "Bill" Wilhelm ("William", i.e., a play on "Barnacle Bill") is the second boss in Spear of Destiny level 10. He is the jailer of the dungeons of Castle Nuremberg. He has a receding blonde hairline and a slight moustache and is wearing a blue armored vest. His choice of weapons are the same as General Fettgesicht, a rocket launcher and chaingun combination.

Barnacle Wilhelm fires 1 missile and 4 bullets per volley. Upon defeat, he will talk before falling to the ground and dropping a gold key.

His speed is the only combative difference between him and General Fettgesicht. Dr. Quarkblitz is his equivalent in the mission packs.

Tactical Analysis

The same analysis can be used to defeat Wilhelm as was used to defeat Fettgesicht. However, there are two secret rooms in the area where you face Wilhelm. The access to one of these rooms gives a plentiful amount of life and ammunition, enough to scroll back and forth while fighting him.

Quotes

The following quotes are taken from the original manual of the DOS version published by FormGen:

"Ach so"[2]
"Oh, I see!"[2] File: "WILHELMSIGHTSND". Spoken upon seeing the player.
"Wenn schon!"[2]
"So what!"[2] File: "WILHELMDEATHSND". Spoken upon death.

"Id Software apologizes to German speaking people everywhere."[2]

Notes

Barnacle Wilhelm is the only boss to be featured in the credits not shown with his weapons.
